As a rule I don't conduct tests on persons with major heart problems. In my opinion the ailment or meds taken to stabilize the problem may not permit calibration of the cardio. I copied the following paragraph from a medical website:

Ventricular tachycardia may not cause symptoms in some people, but may be lethal in others -- it is a major cause of sudden cardiac death.

It would be a bad day (for both of us) if I had to use the words "sudden" and "lethal" when describing what occurred to a person during any stage of the examination process.

Bottom line is I choose not to accept the liability and disregard any number of letters an MD may provide.

If the identified information is accurate I'd be interested in reading opinions regarding (why) an examiner would conduct an exam.

END.....

V-Tach is much more serious than simple tachycardia. I don't see where a simple, properly, diagnosed case of chronic tachycardia would prevent the exam. I however, like you, would error on the side of caution.
